There was some fine #poetry last night @The Teachers’ Club in #Dublin with a double launch @doirepress.bsky.social: Moyra Donaldson’s, launched by @maryodonnell.bsky.social & Nithy Kasa’s by Fiona Bolger, with fab covers @triona.bsky.social. Nice to see @eatthestorms.com @rachaelhegarty.bsky.social

Yes indeed, I think they’re quite rare, no?
Happy #postboxsaturday.
Wearing its ‘Afro’ of ivy.
Gorgeous!
I love postboxes in stations! 🚂
Here’s a lovely old (and now sadly defunct) postbox, which is situated in the limestone wall of a 170-year-old primary school in my neighbourhood in #Dublin. Did you know that all of the postboxes in Ireland are original UK ones, with their red colour covered over with green paint? #PostboxSaturday
Thanks very much, Philip. I’m looking forward to it. 🌺
Maeve is a brilliant teacher and poet - if you're interested in haiku or poetry, you really should consider going on this.
Learn to haiku this summer. Take a walk with Maeve in May.
Thanks Clodagh!
@martinadalton.bsky.social Thanks for the RT & congrats on your forthcoming collection! 🥳

There's a gorgeous (& free) #exhibition of felted artworks by members of Feltmakers Ireland, currently on view at the Phoenix Park Visitors’ Centre in #Dublin. The title / theme is ‘Water and Flow’. Well worth a visit. Link to the online catalogue on their site: feltmakersireland.com/feltmakers-i...
@ireneaddie.bsky.social Hi Amy. I see you’ve got a haiku by GR on your page here. Are you aware of the fact that he died on Monday? His funeral took place today in Dublin. RIP.
My late Dad wrote some haiku too! ❤️
Just a bit of notice that I’ll be leading a beginners’ in-person #workshop in #haiku #poetry as part of this year’s Intl Litfest in #Dublin, @ilfdublin.bsky.social.
It takes place on Sun 17/5 at 3pm and will include a ginko / walk around Merrion Square. (Cost €18/16). ilfdublin.com/whats-on/fes...
Thanks. Nice idea!

Why is it gold?
Spotted in #Wexford during the week, with a strange vandalism pattern! #PostboxSaturday
I’m pleased to report that copies of my latest collection, ‘Where All Ladders Start’ (2024, Alba Publ.), are now available in Red Books in #Wexford, thanks to Wally & Nuala. While there, I also got to see the Billy Roche play ‘Of Mornington’ at the Wexford Arts Centre (love the new-ish extension) 😊

It's time to repost this Easter masterpiece

I would hope so - I’m not a fan of fictional haiku!
The full series of Leonard and Hungry Paul is now available on the RTE Player.
Shyness is nice, as Morrissey once sang in the good old days.
