Headed to the metropolis that is christchurch for a long overdue fix of live music. Bob Mould was excellent still gives it full beans. Next night took a seat and a band at the other end of they're careers started playing. Great too, played some belters. Can't beat live music
Can I still add this to my fair Isle dippers dipped list?
Hi ya! Fancy meeting you over here
Moved to escape the utter misery that yellow and blue brigade created, then wallowed in. That and the blue tickers, copy and pasting the same spurs 'news' article every 5 mins over an 18 month period. There's only a certain number of times I need to read that we're going to by Gallagher or sell Kane
Spring has sprung, a glorious day at Shy Lake
Nice spot to pitch the tent, while Tokoeka/Kiwi monitoring
An always curious Kia and slightly more cautious but raucous gang of 9 Kaka came to check us out at Shy lake today #birds
Yep, they can get pretty big, female Tokoeka/Kiwi can be over 4kg the boys about 1kg lighter.
Some smaller species too Little spotted Kiwi about 1.2 kg in weight
It's a Kiwi/Tokoeka chick, about 10 days old.
If it survives it's first year or so it'll grow into this beast
1st chick of the season at Shy lake #birds #ornithology

Listen to your podcast most weeks(along with some other spurs podcasts)find it a great way to keep in touch with the team now that I live 11000 miles away and agree that you're usually one of the more positive. Sure last weeks would have been great too. Just reached my weeks limit of moaning fans
Made it to 4 mins 18 seconds of this episode before I had to turn off. It's like being made to watch an episode of eastenders. Come on fellas cheer up we're still in 4 competitions and we've no longer got mourhino or conte in charge, this is as good as it gets!
Hi Matt. Great to see a banded Kea. The Kea conservation trust have got an awesome website and database. Check out the database keadatabase.nz if you'd like to enter details of where and when you saw the bird you'll be able to find out all about that individual.
3's and 5's always was a big fan of dominoes
