“Founder Mode” and the Art of Mythmaking I’ve never been good at “hot takes”. Anyone who knows anything about marketing can tell you that the best time to share your opinion about something is when everyone is all worked up about it. Hot …

Another good article, this time from @mipsytipsy.bsky.social, about Brian Chesky's Airbnb story and how he put all the blame on the dysfunctional organisation he created, and then praised himself for learning basic management practices on the job. Founder mode indeed 🤢

It is a brilliant book. I’d make it compulsory reading for every comp sci student.

An amusing error: I was asking google for the factors of the number 3719 (it's prime).

One thing many people are not aware of is that Apple has an entire building full of engineers who are working to push the boundaries of physics in seeing how far an AirPods case can fling the individual earbuds in different directions whenever you drop the case.

Mary Tyler Moore accidentally nailed a perfect trick shot in *The Dick Van Dyke Show* (1962)—on the FIRST take.

It was supposed to be done by a pro, but she shocked everyone and pulled it off herself. Absolute legend. 🎱✨

I think BlueSky will be significantly better for conferences than any other site. Organisers can create speaker starter packs to allow attendees to auto-follow all speakers. Also a custom feed of all folks skeeting abut a conf would be a big win.

AI grandma fights back against scammers Daisy's mission is two-fold: To waste scammers' time so they can't speak to real people and to draw attention to fraud by warning consumers to be vigilant.

And to think people said there was no good use for AI
