Both of those are very highly regarded, and it seems in retrospect like there were a lot of pins with horror/sci-fi themes at the time. It's definitely a gamble of anticipating what might be popular/well-received when you're designing a game before the movie is out, I imagine. And this was a movie.

This was a fascinating read! It's really interesting in hindsight to see which movies had pins at the time, because some of them do feel surprising. Also seems like there was more of a horror pin trend back in the 90s with Addams Family, Twilight Zone, Tales From the Crypt, Dracula, etc.
