Day 111
Jim Legxacy - Black British Music (2025)
Rap album with honesty and emotionality weaved beautifully throughout. Jim himself has great flow, production is airy and dream-pop like. Jim takes us through his hardships, but does so with great strength and feeling, hard not to root for him

I'm in the rough area of needing like 150~ albums for the full year
There might have been some of that, aye. If it comes through on the spreadsheet and I know it, it gets taken off before it gets to the wheel.
GOLDEN WEEK IS SET! Thanks everyone for suggestions!
Anything that didn't make the cut for Golden Week has been added to the MEGA WHEEL for general album picking.
ok stop now, I've had to make ANOTHER wheel for just these golden week suggestions lmao
Thing I keep saying to people is that it's obviously nothing personal when I don't get on with something that's their fav, if we all liked the same stuff life would be incredibly fucking boring. This stuff is the TEXTURE OF LIFE BABYYYYY
@cyberrazorcunt.bsky.social The WHEEL OF ALBUMS was like, you know what? Jen. It's a double headed Jen.
Day 110
Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
Who knew death could be so much fun? I really really enjoyed all the brass elements on this album, super fun late 80s stuff.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've got a themed week coming up soon, GOLDEN WEEK to be precise! I'm looking for an all Japanese line up for Golden Week, so if you have any suggestions specifically for that, drop em here please! 👇
Day 109
Pet Shop Boys - Very
I've only really been a "just the hits" guy with Pet Shop Boys, but I didn't realise that all their biggest stuff (to me, anyway) is before this album. I found this album to be quite grating, 90s-in-a-bad-way. Unfortunate, cause I don't dislike them. Not *VERY* good
⭐⭐
Day 108
Amamalia - The Joy Of Living
A lovely pick me up on a bad head day, this album sings with the titular joy. Great "low tech" sounding synths, joyous expansive instrumentals. Sometimes felt a bit loose, unfocused, jammy, which diminished it for me unfortunately. Still worth a listen!
⭐⭐⭐
Day 107
Nekrogoblikon - The Boiling Sea
I really really enjoyed their 2018 album "Welcome To Bonkers", a melo-death, techno infused album that asks you to have a bit of daft, dark fun. Leave your pretensions at the door and feel a bit daft.
This latest outing doesn't manage the same. Stinkin'
⭐⭐
Day 106
Iglooghost - Tidal Memory Exo
Woooowwwwww. I would describe the sound design on this album as "Perfect". An amazing piece of electronic music, with bits of UK DnB, RnB, Dubstep, Ambient, all sorts. I listened to it twice in a row, it's so good. It's SO good.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Day 105
Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age Of Wireless
I describe albums as being "fun" quite a bit here, but this album is quite fun! Quirky, artsy, fun. Opens incredibly strong with "She Blinded Me With Science" and then gently rolls along at a solid clip for the rest of its runtime. A moodlifter
⭐⭐⭐
Day 104
Zetra - Zetra
Goth rock by goths, for goths. The kind of album I'd have pretended to really like when I was 14 in a desperate attempt to make Goth Lassies fancy me. Fine, but a bit dull.
⭐⭐
Day 103
El Ten Eleven - Nowhere Faster
Post Rock, slightly Math Rocky instrumental album that has a relaxed feel. Didn't fire off in my brain the way these types of richly layered pieces often do, but a pleasant way to spend 30 minutes.
⭐⭐⭐
It's Spanned out nicely
Day 102
Witch Ripper - Through The Hourglass
An enjoyable prog metal album with plenty of great riffs, melodic and chugging in equal measure. I think this band is just short one unique spark that would lift them to a higher echelon. Good not great.
⭐⭐⭐
Day 101
Full Body 2 - 2020initialsequence2022
Whoooo boy, what a trip. This album mixes traditional sounding shoegaze with really modern DnB/Jungle vibes to make a very very weird baby. The tracks that lean heavy on the DnB elements are sensational, the more traditional shoegaze brings it down
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Day 100
Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
A real trip, this absolutely manic rap album is a cobwebs clearer of the mind. Danny is a unique presence on any track I've heard him feature on, and this keeps that up. Only complaint is the extraordinary production sometimes drowns out the flows
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Day 99
Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
Look, I respect this album. It's got a lot going on, and is a complete and unapologetic piece of work. But I found it boring, and far too long. Ideas and motifs are overwrought. I like that it builds to a second half with more energy, but not enough
⭐⭐
I'm listening to a new (to me) album every day in 2026, and I need your help!
Please suggest good albums, obscure albums, awful albums, different albums!
You can find the submission link, along with the list so far, here: linktr.ee/365in26
Day 98
Saint Etienne - Foxbase Alpha
I found this album really tiresome unfortunately. In theory I should really like something like this, heavily sampled, dubby basses, for-the-time unique effect use. But in the end it all coalesces into a bit of a tiresome sludge.
⭐⭐
In no order:
Pissing On Bonfires/Kissing With Tongues
Taste The Blood Of Zombina & The Skeletones
Guerilla Grooves Vol. 1
Thanks, Sorry!
Man's Best Friend
Probably a top 5 so far, easily
Day 97
Meursault - Pissing on Bonfires/Kissing with Tongues
An extremely frustrating album, because it's got some beautiful folk/acoustic tracks on here that are filled with a raw and real energy. And then there are all these fucking awful indietronica tracks on there too, complete vibe killers
⭐⭐
Day 96
Saucy Dog - New Gate
J-Rock record that feels really really Japanese. A decent energiser, but didn't blow me away. For fans of the Royal Road chord progression
⭐⭐⭐
Day 95
KAYTRANADA - 99.9%
Immaculate R'n'B vibes mixed with some really head bopping Funk House. Another Sunday banger, I've ended up with some really good stuff on Sunday's so far!
Some ace features, including a decent turn from Craig David!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Day 94
Vanir - Wyrd
Big heaping dose of Danish Melo-Death metal that had me rolling. Dirty great big riffs, big silly metal shit. Had a fantastic time with it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Day 93
Full of Hell - Trumpeting Ecstasy
If you'd tried to pick something more anthetical to yesterday's album you probably couldn't have done better. Loud, fast, violent, nihilistic, and delivers it all in ~25 minutes. Insane music. Great gym music
