In Sweden, SOS Alarm has replaced manual steps in the emergency dispatch process with automation that saves lives, cutting the time between a 112 call and ambulance dispatch from up to 30 seconds to under two.

The recent wildfires in Cyprus exposed a dangerous gap: there is still no operational public warning system, despite EU law requiring it since 2022.
EENA urges Cyprus to act now, and calls on the European Commission to enforce the law in all Member States.

🆕 The European Commission will publish its long-anticipated Digital Networks Act (DNA) on 16 December 2025, according to Politico.
The DNA is expected to be less ambitious than the complete overhaul of digital rules proposed in the 2024 European Commission white paper.
