The debriefs and reflections were so powerful. Having others observe a lesson that we coplanned was also eye opening—we asked tough questions like:
-did we do what we planned?
-did we accomplish what we hoped?
-was it the right decision/move?

Spent the day with math coaches engaged in a Lesson Study. We planned a lesson together and we:

Taught
Debriefed and revised
Taught again
Debrief and reflected

I was expecting to walk away with a perfect lesson but realized it was about more: deeply understanding content and pedagogy.
