Today's illustration for my dark fantasy novel in progress, the one about Mercy and her lover Gabriel. The first book is mostly their teen to young adult years, ending when they are both adults.

I agree. It's something really difficult to stomach sometimes, but to dread appreciation for other things'll make life really colorless.

Apropos of nothing, if the creator of something you cherished turns out to be a horrible person, the answer isn't to close your hearts for fear of disappointment, it's to love more. Love with abandon, because there's always new art to find, love so much as to always outweigh the disappointments. ❤️
