This is both well-written and trenchant.

Hey, can anyone give me tips on how to find bank investment disclosures? I don’t want to apply for a loan from my smallish regional bank because they are not willing to tell me they’re *not* invested in overt fascism (GEO, CXW) and I only found out by accident that Citizens Bank had gone Nazi. 🤬

I was hoping someone would take a shot at explaining that part of this new abomination

I’m inside the advancing light,
my hands are hungry, the world beautiful.

My eyes can’t get enough of the trees —
they’re so hopeful, so green.

A sunny road runs through the mulberries,
I’m at the window of the prison infirmary.

I can’t smell the medicines —
carnations must be blooming somewhere.

It’s like this:
being captured is beside the point,
the point is not to surrender.

Screenshot of mobile NYT search results for “war crimes”: one headline reads “Trump Revels in Threats to Commit War Crimes in Iran,” (April 5, yesterday), another reads “Trump’s Threat to Iran Crosses a Line, Rights Experts Say” March 24, 2026)

Finally a NYT headline preserving truth! It’s still good on my mobile app just now

I think I like the first better… maybe it feels more ominous with the couch having more open space in the background? This reminds me of a bleak place I visited decades ago (and somewhere I have a film negative of a couch in a desert)

A budget is a moral document. Your investment of financial resources is a direct reflection of what you value.

And then there’s Trump’s budget, which is an immoral act of profound violence that shows his complete lack of values and reflects the moral rot at his core.

read all the way down to the bottom of the article hoping it was an April fool's joke, more fool I for imagining that the people doing this would be aware enough to know this is a skin-crawling idea

I really needed to read this reframing of ADHD. As a person who is extremely curious it resonated and helped me connect some dots: It's not that I'm incapable of focusing, but there's so much to learn and explore! When my brain is not learning, it wants to move on! Great piece @neuranne.bsky.social

Right? I’m glad this was canceled but think it’s very possible there’s already full-length slop out there in print and in distribution under major imprints (I resisted physically burning one particular ARC from Atria, and that was a few years ago)

Penguin Random House, the world's largest trade book publisher, is hiring a senior AI solutions engineer to develop AI systems for book marketing and discovery and ensure AI applications scale reliably, per the position's listing. The company is using AI to help achieve "operational excellence," spokesperson Claire von Schilling told Forbes via email. That includes using AI to better manage its inventory and decide how many copies to print more accurately. In January 2025, PRH's parent company Bertelsmann announced that it plans to roll out Open AI's Chat GPT Enterprise to employees.

Sánchez: “You may have heard that Spain is alone. They’re the same people who said that when we recognized the State of Palestine, and then others followed.

“We are not alone — we are the first. Those who will end up alone are the ones defending the indefensible.”

Hey guys @welch.senate.gov said Mullin is honest and competent.

Hey Pete, you ass, Mullin said if Trump lost in 2024 he wasn't gonna certify the election. You're a fool and I can't believe you are cashing a paycheck using my tax money
