Did you know that the resistance is still active in MN? There are still folks still too afraid to leave their homes and my friends at openmarketmn.org are still feeding people where other places have closed down. (Venmo is not working, please use these.) WE FEED US!

Even Artemis II Astronauts Have Microsoft Outlook Problems The mission commander’s email inbox failed during the journey to the moon. Have they tried turning the computer off and back on again?

There are two versions of Microsoft Outlook on Artemis II. Last night, neither of them worked, and Houston had to remote in to address the problem.

We do look far too far away on maps. You can walk down the street at the end of my block (University Ave) in Saint Paul and cross over into Minneapolis without noticing in 5 mins. I don't think people not from here understand this. We have different mayors, different sales tax, but we are one.

Two cats on a Christmas blanket on a couch. One, a big tubby orange long-haired boy is sacked out so hard that he is all stretched out. His foot is on his companion, a black short-haired cat. Luckily, she is also asleep and therefore tolerating him.

Since I feel like lately all I do is beg for money for my favorite resistance causes, here is a picture of my cat, Buttercup, being a big bed hog. Look at this beast! He DARES to put a foot on Ms. Willow! (She is also asleep so she doesn't seem to mind.)

Businesses across Minnesota have struggled thanks to ICE. One place is Dawah Institute a mosque/Islamic Community Center I patrol. They generously allowed their tenants to go without rent and now are behind on mortgage. Please help if you can (or spread the word!) www.gofundme.com/f/stand-with...

Again, this is on the resume, but I don't have anyone there who can act as a referrence!

4 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

I am using a friend as a "work" reference who is someone I did convention work with. I have plenty of things to say I'm experienced, but finding someone who is a professional referrence is the problem!

Oh. I guess that's technically true! I can work with this!

Also, do other writers actually say that they are currently employed by their publisher?

Them: what have you been doing for the last two decades? Me: Writing novels?
Them: ... SURE you have. Why can't you put that person down as a reference?
Me: ...it feels weird?

Applying for jobs after decades as a writer and a stay at home mom. Them: *helpfully has a box to check to say you provided unpaid services at home*

Also them: 3 WORK REFERENCES OR NO JOB!

Me: *wracking brains* could anyone still be working at [former job] that remembers me from 1999??

Check out this whole thread. Minneapolis and Saint Paul are still hurting. Folks are cautiously coming out of shelter, but need food to get them through until paychecks start up again or new jobs are found. ZCC is my mutual aid! Laura and I have been working together! Please share widely!

Of all the things we are doing in MN, this one is just beyond. Imagine being released from hell alone in the cold. And a total stranger has waited all night with a blanket just to be ready to hug you and carry you home. Every job we do is crucial, but this one is what restores humanity and dignity.

I know you all have just heard the news that Homan says that "Operation Metro Surge" is over in Minnesota, but, even if that is true, we are going to have legal battles to restore our neighbors to their homes for months and months to come. Fellow nerds? Consider supporting: itch.io/b/3484/no-ic...

Toddler hospitalized with respiratory failure was returned to ICE detention without prescribed medication, lawsuit says The 18-month-old was sent back to a South Texas facility after days in intensive care with severe respiratory distress, according to a federal lawsuit.

NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.

“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.

But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.
