We do look far too far away on maps. You can walk down the street at the end of my block (University Ave) in Saint Paul and cross over into Minneapolis without noticing in 5 mins. I don't think people not from here understand this. We have different mayors, different sales tax, but we are one.

Since I feel like lately all I do is beg for money for my favorite resistance causes, here is a picture of my cat, Buttercup, being a big bed hog. Look at this beast! He DARES to put a foot on Ms. Willow! (She is also asleep so she doesn't seem to mind.)

I am using a friend as a "work" reference who is someone I did convention work with. I have plenty of things to say I'm experienced, but finding someone who is a professional referrence is the problem!

Some professors at the University of St. Thomas are doing a research project on the effects of the ICE occupation on Twin Cities parents. They're looking for parents who are US citizens, who live in the Twin Cities metro area, and who have kids ages 5-10.

Of all the things we are doing in MN, this one is just beyond. Imagine being released from hell alone in the cold. And a total stranger has waited all night with a blanket just to be ready to hug you and carry you home. Every job we do is crucial, but this one is what restores humanity and dignity.
Everyone who worked at this camp should go to prison.

NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.
“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.
But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.
