When Trump said the Pope is ‘weak on crime’ it had to be one of two things:
He has absolutely not a clue what a Pope does
Or he’s gotten to the point that he’s just pulling random phrases out of his ass.
I know everyone’s forgotten this — most of all the news media — but the job of journalism isn’t to repeat whatever the President says; the job of journalism is to inform the public about, and help the public make sense of, the day’s events.
Trump (and his cronies) figured out that, as President, you can manipulate the stock market by announcing military attacks and ceasefires. So they just keep doing it, and the market and the media keep falling for it.
Before you commit to a dog name, go outside at 6:30 AM with no bra on and see how it feels begging that name to poo.
The oligarchs believe that U.S. citizens’ tolerance for abuse is infinite.

A post-NATO alliance is needed, as the US can’t be trusted. Instead of duplicating resources, common equipment like tanks should be used against a shared threat like Russia (which regardless of Ukraine still IS a threat) to avoid unnecessary spending at expense of welfare.
