There's drawbacks to living somewhere so isolated, but walking out my door yesterday to see an emu chilling across the road (and this being a regular occurrence with emu/kangaroos/rabbits etc) never fails to bring me joy.
I love having to pause to let the bonded emu pairs cross the road. 🥰
I suppose time really dilates and stretches in strange ways when you're not allowed any clocks, or allowed any distractions outside the other villa occupants (books, music etc).

I've been kind of hyperbolically jazzed about my house-moving prowess as a way to fake myself through the stress.
