Public transport should work for people, not profit.
It's time to bring Scotland's buses back under public control. 🚌

Embed a Rural First approach to infrastructure investment, prioritising harder-to-reach communities including island communities, and ensuring policy and funding decisions are island-proofed from the outset. Introduce a Rural and Island Services Guarantee ensuring every community has access to essential banking, public transport and childcare within reasonable distance. Guarantee high-quality healthcare through free and direct NHS delivery of dentistry in rural and island communities, starting with a pilot to address the current dentist shortage in Shetland. Provide baseline funding for childcare provision in small communities and reciew rural childcare provision to ensure wraparound care is available to all

The National. Greens pledge rollout of walk-in mental health centres. Co-leaders Ross Greer and Gillian Mackay said they commit to increasing investment in mental health services and reducing waiting times for ADHD and autism assessment.
Scotland is in the midst of a mental health crisis.
Services are stretched, people are stuck on waiting lists, and too many are left to struggle alone.
We'll roll out free walk-in mental health support hubs across Scotland, and ensure year-on-year real terms increases in mental health spending.
Every mother of the shire seeing Laura's post...
The need to rapidly transition to a green economy has never been clearer.
The most expensive thing we can do is double down on fossil fuels.
Headline on BBC News reads: "Aberdeen University staff strike in dispute over cuts" picture of a person in a pink hat protesting, holding up a sign that reads: "students support the strikes"
I support the strikers. The union have called for negotiations to avoid compulsorily redundancies. Management need to recognise that staff are integral to the university's future.

A picture of Peterhead in shadows, in front of dusky skyline.
Year after year, Peterhead power station has been Scotland’s largest source of climate pollution, yet the government has been sitting on an application that would make it even worse.
With only weeks until parliament dissolves, the Scottish Government needs to end the uncertainty & rule out this

Once again staff at the University of Aberdeen have been pushed to strike in order to be taken seriously. We do not accept the inevitability of redundancies by the hundreds when management are paid more than ever.

“🫵 Oi, branch manager, wind your neck in and don’t speak above your station, capisce?”
Scotland is an independent polity and deserves independent parties, full stop.
Hope Wins! Scottish Greens.

We will never let the politics of hate divide us. The Greens will always put people and planet before profit.
