100 books to read, 100 movies to watch, 100 games to play, and still bored?

That's not ennui.

That's ennyou.

In #StarTrek "Elementary, Dear Data", after her dalliance with Moriarty, Dr. Pulaski declares herself "full of crumpets".

In the same episode, it is clarified that matter created on the holodeck cannot exist without.

I have questions...

There are some magnificent magnolias on Rembrandt Square, Amsterdam, and sitting under one for ten minutes will permanently upgrade your existence by at least 0.06%.

Great choices. 59 as classic as they come; 800 all the watch anyone could ever need, especially if you hack it!

Not certain but possibly my first was a silver AQ-230 that I bought in June 1984, which finally gave out a couple of weeks short of its 25th birthday.

I do have the W-59 and W-800h in my collection (ahem!) now, though. 🤗

If I'm the only one who misread that last line as "lightning will destroy your penises" I shall cloak my embarrassment in disbelief.

Just checking - did someone at #KitKat put forward their clocks by one day, instead of one hour?

This makes sense. I do avoid major purchases via phone if I can, but it's not entirely irrational. I'm just in a different mindset behind a proper keyboard; able to multi-task (tabs etc.), more in control. It just feels much easier to make a mistake when I can't see everything at once.

🎵 A gold escudo
Was worth 16 reales
But then it got doubled
And changed what its name was

And I guess that's why they call them doubloons.

I don't think you had to be a particularly "spectral" child to wonder why the toy that was supposed to be green, wasn't green, when the toys that weren't supposed to be green, were green.

I was similarly annoyed by soundtrack albums, though...

I don't feel this one quite as keenly; I wasn't born for another 12 years, so FP has never NOT been an "old" movie.

But it was "Before you were born" old, not "Everyone who made this is dead" old..!

I'd wear the shit out of that. But I'd cover the label up first...

I love it when a story / script drops in an in-universe reference and immediately moves on, revealing information by inference, like how we learn in real life.

For the avoidance of doubt, he also answers to "Cue" and "Queue". Well, that is to say, as much as he does to "Q".

Black cat portrait. LARGE pupils!

This is "Q".

He will NOT be getting his own account, but he still wishes to say "hello".

Lick your screen, then touch it with your nose, for the full effect.

This Seventies TV show was Britain’s answer to Star Trek – until it wasn’t At the time, Space: 1999 was the most expensive series ever made, but a US producer and pulpier plots saw it lose its way

I feel I’ve been waiting all my life to be commissioned to write this feature about Space:1999 for today’s Telegraph.. www.telegraph.co.uk/gift/c7afbc1...

I regret to report that I ceased to be funny in 2003. I can still do a passable Pretentious Wanker, though.

I tend to be a bit of an old curmudgeon about these things. I have been guilty of the occasional shrug.

But given the current state of... everything, more Daleks is a welcome piece of non-shitty news.

That would have been a good comeback! Sadly, it was beyond them.

I think they would have been happier with me denying his existence, than implying he was a compound character. At least, I hoped so... :->
