I get that people are just making jokes but I worry jokes like this only further isolate and feed the confirmation bias of conspiracy theorists.
Sure, most flat earthers are dogmatic and unreachable. But the few that are truly seeking truth and just confused and manipulated are only going to double down if they see you don’t even bother to learn the first thing about what they believe and yet you call them idiots.
But almost all of them don’t believe in space. And the vast majority of them believe the earth is similar to how it’s described in The Hebrew Bible, meaning that celestial objects are either inset in the firmament or at least inside the firmament.
