I raced 350 LC's and an RZ350 in Aus. Brilliant bikes. Yamaha ran a prizemoney series for them. Loved them. Won some tyre/fuel money.
Proddie rules were strict. We were not allowed to change anything. Lights, indicators, mirrors removed, horns on, disconnected.
Rarely had protests. Great times π

Only by default, when Casey retired.
The originals were Rossi Stoner Pedrosa Lorenzo. They were named by a frustrated Edwards when he could not Qualy or finish higher than 5th unless one of them fell off.
The 'Alien' era was the 800 era, 2007 - 2012. MM is a freak on the same level or better.
U da daddy on this stuff mate π
Great Pics. Is that red Airone the model christened 'Bacon slicer'? I'm not sure if all models had the external flywheel like that. Beautiful macines, all of them π
Cheers Chief π
This time I save the details π
@wxatgp500.bsky.social is a Guru finding this for me. You will win many bets, and solve many arguments if you remember this fact. Very few know about it.
He is worth following if you are into bike GP history. He posts daily. Many pics from all classes, all eras.
Ahhh, Gracias Guru. UR a genius. That's the bike. I remember you posted it. I thought Antonio Cobas. I see that intricate cast alloy swingarm again now also.
They are 2 very advanced designs that impressed me. Amazing Tech for 1975. Our friends will enjoy your knowledge. Thanks again mate πποΈπ
Sadly true. The 2 best without a Title fersure π
Very hard to find much on the net. I went looking after posting that Pic yesterday. Articles about Bad Brad Lackey in MX, but bugger all about GP bikes first usage. Sleep well man
Me either. He certainly paid his dues, many due to other riders mistakes. Injuries cost him at least 1 Title. He was tough πͺ
#Samurai
Possibly '89 mate. They were Lucky Strike in both. His number would help.
USD forks were actually used in 1930-40s era. I've seen them in a pic. Search of HD didn't find a saved pic
Kobas used a pair very early in Spain. @wxatgp500.bsky.social will know the details when he wakes up soon.

I'm sad that Dani Pedrosa has quit wildcards. Testing only now.
He is still #1 Avg Pts scorer at Jerez #SpanishGP with 16.4
He raced here 14 times since 2006 debut.
10 Pod P1x3, P2x5, P3x2, 11 top5, 12 top10
Little Samurai is the last of the 'Aliens' in #MotoGP
Gracias Dani #26. Respect πͺππ
That'll work π
This is absolutely fantastic.

It looks like the world is being wise about the world cup. I am an American, it is NOT SAFE for anyone here. They give idiots a gun, authority, and no training.
If I murder someone, I go to jail or worse. If ICE murders someone for no reason, they get praise from the president.
Single frame. Prayer session in the Oval Office. Trumpβs team laying hands on Trump, as his pastor says, βO Lord, cast out those misguided religious leaders who would dare to meddle in our politicsβ¦β
Let us pray.
My @smh @theage cartoon.
Oh no. Is he too important for Dani now? Fair enough I suppose, he is an adult and working in the media. Shame he won't wildcard again.
RIP Kato San π₯
No Dani Pedrosa available? He would go well on home turf.
Just in: Maverick ViΓ±ales has not recovered from shoulder surgery in time to compete this weekend at Jerez. Just 1 Tech3 bike this weekend. Pol Espargaro initially planned to deputise but a hand injury keeps him out.
PrΓ€sident Epstein: Brillant darin Probleme lΓΆsen, die ohne ihn nie existiert hΓ€tten.
How is your back? Sounds like you had a proper Shovel, trench, bent over in half, hands and knees workout. Trench and pipe work kills me these days.
I'm starting to believe that nasty rumour about us getting a year older every year. Painfully.
Hmmm. So, WHO really invented upside down forks?
Wayne Rainey, team Roberts 1988? π€
Here it is. I knew I had a couple like this on here somewhere. I went searching for this pic and could'nt find it. I had misplaced it into an Aussie racing folder.
