What are 748 assholes between friends?

In case anyone had an itch to know the actual number of circular windows: 1,748 (per a press release from the owning company)

Weird giving the definition of the word "charisma" as just "rizz" (to a 10 year-old).

Some are fancier and detect, but you can usually manually set the computer's orientation for a monitor. If the monitor stand lets you physically rotate, it's nothing extra to buy.

Words are for everybody.
As soon as you know the time to use "y'all" versus "all y'all" I'd say that's the real line!

We watched it again a little while back... and yeah. Maybe if it were cut in half. Otherwise, it's been best for references to it, and the memes.

I prefer the original Kestery

Some good suggestions around. You might end up needing some cable management to keep things tidy.
And power strips wear out over time, and can be a safety issue!

Oh, they need another bathroom there?

It's the natural extension to the mistake that is the computer.

True, it's all made up!
Doing the DMA opt-out a while back cut out a good chunk of those mailers. I just looked for the site, and saw they have an opt-out for the deceased (sounds like Beetlejuice 😁). Might be helpful? www.dmachoice.org

I'm sorry, that's an awfully sucky prod.
I wonder -- because we'll all have to deal with this -- would credit locks beforehand help tamper these?

Every time my ten year old sees one she exclaims "eww, it's so ugly!"

That seems like a great way to mess with someone.

And "40404040" in hexadecimal. 😁
But depending on their stack, could also come from elsewhere. Several posts about that value in error posts with mssql.

Could be a couple of things, but it's likely to be in how they handle that data (either from your input, or more likely, in how they move data between the app/browser and their servers). That could have come from some data being spaces, or maybe "@" repeated.

As a software engineering person, that precise number is one of suspicion, and hopefully they don't have trouble fixing the problem. Data input handling is a common source of error.

One of my pet peeves is people saying anything like:

“apologies to ALT text users but it’s not really describable in polite terms.”

If you are willing to post an image because it looks unintentionally sexually you should be able to say “this elf’s waving arm looks like a massive penis”

It freaks us out here when it happens.

But, I guess, a broken 24-hour clock is right once a day.

Really working to find ones that give an idea of value, or of the processes working, is delightful.

Especially within a management system, the number of times I've seen managers try to get real meaningful metrics, then get frustrated and go back to the out-of-the-box examples from 30 years ago, is maddening.

Oh my, a cat!? That is a wild thing to ask for or to make happen.
