While Bluesky is great and likely will get even better over time, the community part of it will change as well. We already see it with certain accounts being created here.

That said, even if this Fur app becomes a thing, Bluesky will likely still be necessary for (a sane) outside fandom reach.

Video is important and is why it'll be a launch feature of Fur. Auto playing videos (via setting), muted until interacted with, and a custom video player! The final length limit isn't fully decided, but there will be ways to increase it as well.

Recently went back on my diet after… 10 years? Dealing with the move stress and personal relationship drama, especially on an SSRI, accelerated weight gain quite a bit as food is a destresser/comfort thing.

Lost 75lb before, can do it again. Just REALLY sucks until your body adapts.

Polls creation and content highlighting/autocomplete for hashtags, usernames, and urls! Just some of the work done for the frontend.

Just a few files for the backend, with much more to go. Finished up some heavy stuff like the feed generation and multi-user account creation under one login. A few other things like bookmarks, bookmark sets, auth flows (with 2 factor), and invite system also done.

Making a full on Twitter replacement for furries, including the features bsky lacks plus others like multi profiles per login, bookmarks, DMs, videos, etc.
