Maybe you have a good idea but you need to work on that relationship first

โญ Useful examples, clear explanations and pragmatic approaches to challenges you may when introducing Contract Testing. โญ
That's what Marie Cruz and Lewis Prescott's Contract Testing in Action book is full of.

I shouldโve told her that Iโve met all the dinosaurs and we used to hang out.
Instead I just looked at her confused then smiled.
I know a few people where Iโm pretty sure looking 10-15 years older helped how they were perceived eh (this is when they were like 23/24)
Meanwhile this weekend, my daughter asked me if, before she and her brother were born, if there were dinosaurs around when I was younger.
I mean, I've had people make comments where they think I don't have enough experience to know what I'm talking about. They think I just started my testing career.
Also had some consultants in my team think I was younger than them... when I had a good few years on them. ๐
Wrote what I learned in my 1st day at @oredev.org
I attended sessions on:
- Synthetic Monitoring
- What testers are afraid to say
- Collective Risk Management
And More.

I liked how @martin-n.bsky.social encourages his team to use Quality Criteria to categorises bugs and test cases.
Useful for teams to see what types of risks are being addressed (and in turn what are not covered).
@oredev.org
Also highly recommend you check out @jitgos.bsky.social โs newsletter if you care about building high quality software.

Really enjoyed listening to @jitgos.bsky.social talk about managing uncertainty in complex systems - and how to handle this.
@oredev.org
Heaps of gems in Katrinaโs talk from Tester to CTO.
@oredev.org
If you missed it, itโs your loss.
Sorry, I mean you can also check put her next session when she talks about presenting to boards.
Need to talk to my husband about what I learned at @jrosaproenca.bsky.social โs talk, as I think he would be find this super interesting.
Not as much relevant for me in my current role but taking notes so I can try tell him as much as possible.
@oredev.org
I feel the same way about flaky tests.
@jrosaproenca.bsky.social giving a great talk at @oredev.org
@testerfromleic.bsky.social kicking ass at his talk at @oredev.org today ๐ช
Excited about 3 days of learning at @oredev.org
