The story: Everyone knows how much I love Disney and Star Wars, but what most people don’t know is that I love Lord of the Rings more. 25 years ago, my parents gave me a very special edition of LotR while I was going through treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. That book got me through cancer. I was reading it when I should have been reading Romeo and Juliet for school. 3 days after I was declared cancer free Fellowship of the Ring came out in theaters. I saw it 9 times. I’ve wanted to get the Fellowship to sign my book ever since. Yesterday, a good part of that dream came true. I got to meet Frodo (Elijah Wood), Sam (Sean Astin), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), and Pippin (Billy Boyd)! And they signed my book! They were all the absolute sweetest! Very wholesome and genuine people. I cried many times (from joy)! I will remember this day for the rest of my life.

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life! Lord of the Rings has a very special place in my heart (story in alt text), and yesterday a childhood dream of mine came true! My face still hurts from all of the smiling and happy crying! I will remember this day forever!
