I doodled this in about two hours bc I have a cold and I can't sleep lol

I'm really enjoying doc's shulker game build so far, but I'm not 100% sure I trust it :P

Here's the calendar with all the prompts filled in. It's really satisfying to look back at all the different techniques and brushes I tried.

The orange, the cookies, and the stuffed date are my favourites but I also really like the hat and both ornaments.

December 25: Evergreen

Advent calendars don't usually have a 25th, but the prompt grid would've been uneven without it.

Christmas was very difficult for me this year, but I'm happy I stuck with this challenge and finished all 25 days. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday 🩷

December 24: Cinnamon

I'm going to be baking cookies with some cinnamon soon, I hope they turn out good! Also I really liked the prompt colors for today

I had to put some thought into how I'd incorporate all the prompt colors for this one, but I really like what I came up with

I'm really happy I managed to make the ornament look reflective while using only the prompt colors.

I don't live in the same country as my family, so on Christmas I usually get online when I wake up and spend Christmas morning with my family on a video call.

December 10: Candy cane

I had little fruit flavored candy canes one year that came in a bunch of different colors, I really liked them.

I was feeling a bit silly today, so I doodled little marshmallows floating in some minty hot chocolate

I tried another new brush with this one. I love the texture, but it doesn't really blend, so it was a challenge to render. I'm very happy with the result!

I tried a brush for this one that I've never used before. I like the texture of it in the light and the leaves

December 6: Carols

One of my favourite Christmas carols is "Carol of the Bells" which, if you didn't know, is originally from Ukraine 💙💛

December 5: Cookies

I'm a big fan of those thumbprint cookies with jam in the middle. I spent a little more than 10 minutes on this one but it's ok, I was having fun🩷

December 4: Sweet

My family always stuffs dates with cream cheese and walnuts while we are getting ready to make Christmas food, so that way we can snack on them while we cook 🩷

December 3: Mistletoe

I'm proud of myself for only using the prompt colors for this one

December 2: Traditions

Every year, my family and I decorate fresh oranges with cloves. When you push cloves into an orange, it fills the room with a warm, spiced scent that I always associate with the holidays.

December 1: Lights

Day 1 was especially low effort because I also made the calendar itself that day.

Under the icing of each cookie is a prompt + 3 colors I need to use. I can use other colors too, but the goal is simplicity, so every doodle needs to be completed in under 10 mins.

I made an advent calendar for myself with some simple holiday prompts. I want to just do some fun, low effort doodles every day this month leading up to Christmas.
