The guards were useless, they just stood in groups staring at their phones. This week there is a noticeable increase in CPD doing the same as the guard service. This morning on Belmont blue, old fat CPD were congregated at the bottom of the stairs in everyone’s way.
This is a great segment, keep them coming!

Public transit deserves to be celebrated and valued, and needs it's stories told! That's something Nora Leerhsen mentioned during a recent conversation with @thewaroncars.bsky.social at an event hosted by @betterstreetschicago.org!

CBS News used my dashboard to show that this wasn’t an “accident”, but a common occurrence at this intersection.

18-year-old Damian Gomez’s mom says he was a happy young man who loved his family and was trying to help her out by delivering food at the time of the crash.
Gomez’s family said he graduated high school less than a year ago and had ambitions and things he couldn’t wait to accomplish.
I agree! She has a great attitude and vision for what public transit is and could be. If she ran for mayor with her messaging from last night I would vote for her. I was in the cheap seats, but enjoyed the show and the ride.
