What a shithead gutter racist. This is my house rep and I don’t know why he’s obsessed with this topic. He represents an area in North Texas.

This topic gave me an anxiety dream—not packed and being late to the airport.
Beyond cars, this would have immediate industrial use.
There’s a guy walking wearing a full body cardboard sign that says, in red white and blue letters: “will work for mortgage”. He’s carrying a coffee mug, presumably as a panhandler(?).
(Was driving, couldn’t get my phone out).
the basic theory of DOGE was that if powerful people said it was fine it didn’t matter what the law said.
I think proving that theory wrong is worth significant effort
Bluesky Elders get to say this kind of stuff because we were here when the site worked great, but the only content available was ALF related.
Mamdani: When I ran for mayor, I said I was going to tax the rich
Well, today we're taxing the rich...
I refuse to learn who these sub-plot B actors are.

Sometimes, the best coffee is camp coffee. Out of your element, no frills. Hand holding coffee mug. The mug has branding from multiple scout camps and a paracord braid around the handle.

There is a pipeline that connects Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province to a refinery town in Yanbu. Until this war, the highest throughput was approximately 2 million barrels per day. And now the Saudis have demonstrated that they've upgraded it to 7 million barrels per day. As news goes for the region, this is positive because it suggests that of the 22 million barrels of crude oil a day that used to flow out of the Strait of Hormuz, we are now only looking at a reduction of about 10 to 12 BPD. The Iranians are getting their 2 million barrels per day, which is actually an increase from pre-war output levels through their sector of the Gulf. And then you've got this bypass pipeline that is taking about 7 million barrels per day and shipping it west. We should take the good news where and while we can because I don't expect this to last. The Iranians have already proved that Yanbu is within range. Now, Houthis in Yemen are involved, and they have demonstrated the ability to use missiles and drones to hit things up and down the Saudi coast over and over and over again.
There is this pipeline. Doesn’t do anything for refined products though.
Judas Iscariot was paid 30 pieces of silver for turning Jesus Christ in to the Roman authorities. But he made nearly 10 times that amount by placing a Polymarket bet accurately predicting the day of Christ’s death.
Why does it seem like he’s trying to fight a holy war?
My dog Poopy (ya, ask my oldest). He’s hunkered down with three gummies and his hat to ride out the thunderstorm.
Post Dog. Save Bluesky.
Okay, but banks have had EDI, and now APIs of bank statements for years. If yours didn’t, just switch banks?
CNN GRAPHIC: US JOBS BY MONTH FEBRUARY: -133k MARCH: 178k

The Department of State tweets a video of Secretary Marco Rubio. In the video, Rubio says: "Imagine if instead of spending billions of dollars supporting terrorists or weapons, Iran had spent that money helping the people of Iran. They would have a much different country."
FactPost News tweets a video of Donald Trump speaking at a podium. In the video he says: "We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things."

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.

They changed the headline.
After Claudia Goldin became the first woman to win a solo Nobel in economics, she got hundreds of invitations.
She accepted three.
One was advising WNBA players on a labor deal. She helped players land the biggest % raise in US sports history.

I only have been once, for one day, but I thought the whole place looked as if it was painted in pastel colors.
The causes of WWI are so dumb that we have to teach school children a mnemonic to remember the broad societal phenomena that led to war. We teach them MAIN: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism. I wonder what dumbass mnemonic we'll need for all this
next time we should try a government staffed by people who are good at their jobs to see if things work out better
My working hypothesis is that rapid context switching is making people more (or newly) ADD/ADHD.
When I was a kid, the Vietnam War loss seemed to be owned by America. Like everyone seemed to be like “yeah WE lost” (or at least those that admit things, I guess). But the loss was in the collective psyche.
I don’t feel any ownership to this fucking conflict. They are just stupid.
