Holy crap I’m so happy. Got my main desktop and my laptop both switched over to Linux and - though it took a while - I’ve managed to get all my tools working: Blender, RizomUV, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine… even did a test build with UE and it worked with ZERO fuss! SO STOKED: NO MORE WINDOWS!

There’s Enhanced Input yes, and also CommonUI which claims to solve this. That being said, I found that CommonUI gets in my way more often than not for me, as it sort of Apple-Esq locks one into doing things “the Epic Way”, so I tend to avoid it and engineer my own solutions whenever I can. Cool tho

I’m playing Zero Dawn Remastered and holy hell does it ever look incredible… easily one of the best-looking games I’ve ever played, and yet performance is through the roof on my TV rig (13900KF // 7900XTX) - I get far better performance, even, than heavily stylized stuff like Fortnite. 🤤👏👏👏

There is an interesting link between loot tables and rendering noise. Both can be made more fair over small numbers of dice rolls.

AFAIK it uses Easy Anti Cheat which requires kernel-level blah blah words I don’t understand… that being said, would there not then be a risk of getting banned even if one got it working?
