Out today!
It's not Number One. I was actually quite surprised about what came out on top.
Out today!
In fairness it was because they’d got the wrong sized pipes. I’d assume this far on they’d have worked that out for your road.
Just here to say that when they did this on our road in January we ended up without gas for a weekend. they did keep giving us tiny electric heaters though.
🔥 UNITED TAKE ALL THREE POINTS!!!
Here's the CD that comes with the new @mojomagazine.bsky.social. Includes a Fairport Convention version of Both Sides, Now I didn't previously know existed (thanks, Ashley Hutchings!). Julie Tippetts singing Cotton Avenue (as amazing as it sounds). And Roberta Flack's great semi-lost Midnight Cowboy
Last night we were talking about whether The Necks are getting more emotionally intense, or if our emotional response to them was intensifying, and decided probably the latter. But this morning, thinking about Causeway on Disquiet, maybe it’s actually the former?
The Necks at Cafe Oto. Every time is the best time.
Take a break at the Cactus Tree Motel, shower off the dust, and settle down with @mojomagazine.bsky.social 391. This month, we map Joni Mitchell's 50 greatest songs and retrace her first creative steps, 60 years after her music entered the public domain. www.greatmagazines.co.uk/mojo-june-20... 1/3
That's not what it says.

Am trying to remember if there's anything about that in here: www.theguardian.com/books/2023/a... (Good book anyhow)
Couple of new Pulp songs streaming here. A Johnny Cash cover (interesting) and Marrying For Love, which is excellent. pulpmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-ma...
With the possible exception of The Necks, maybe Neil Young, I must've written more about Hiss Golden Messenger in the past 20 years than any other artist. This is one more good reason why, and why I interviewed Mike for his first MOJO feature this month. Shaky Eyes... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aeml...
Winter played a Fake Mink track on his phone at a gig a few months ago, which completely made one of mine's day.
Yeah I think it is a thing in general, but my wife was there and she was pretty sure it was just on his phone last night.
Not sure any other of those big Noughties college rock bands stuck around long enough to make a 2020s record as good as Shore.
Did they actually perform it, or did Winter just play a bit of it on his phone?
Randomly reminded this morning how much I like this Fleet Foxes song. fleetfoxes.bandcamp.com/track/sunbli...
Yep, good isn't it?
Check out my new cosmic jam band Universal Music Group
I wrote about Rebecca Solnit, Public Enemy and the new Sturgill Simpson/Johnny Blue Skies album, sort of. Great record anyhow. www.mojo4music.com/articles/new...
An Evening With David Byrne at Hammersmith Apollo
Went to this, with slight misgivings. Was great.
