Prioritize stabilizing homeless populations. Maybe it’s time we support initiatives that force local governments to undergo their own sort of forced austerity. No more pet projects that do not focus on housing and food for the least among us.

Take a clue from Colorado’s tax system. Wa state can get rid of this hyper regressive tax system and have a more balanced system that reduces burden on the working poor to pay the most I know the states Supreme Court banned it but it can be overturned. Make the state purple and fair.

Until our government departments and programs are sensibly staffed and funded and lead with an ethical point of justice poaching will be the norm.

Maybe it’s time for Washington state to open its own bank. The benefits would outweigh the costs. Considering today’s financial institutions charging shark loan rates, citizens can benefit from lower loan rates to purchase homes. Small businesses won’t be slaved to a bank that charges 18% on a SBL

Fair wage laws would be a good start. Many homeless are working poor. Tackle investment firms holding tenants hostage with astronomical rents. Better yet, ban them or regulate them into the Stone Age. This is our problem right here right now. Wages do not meet cost of living.

Investment firms conglomerate elder care facilities as a means to easily extract as much money as possible. This is why nearly all, except for the wealthy, are permanently short staffed, lack basic supplies, and with malice, ignore patients to death.

Most intelligent citizens would demand tighter purse strings on how funds are spent. Better yet, assign funds specifically. It’s about time publicly funded organizations experience austerity themselves and let the funds go to actual need and not selfish wants.
