Current obsession. Light, shadows, diffraction & entanglement 💕
Still there with our 6 y/o. When my bigger kids were small I reduce-sized photocopied some of their artwork and framed it as a collage one year. Not had the time or energy since but it was a nice way of keeping things. Solidarity!
In physics yes. Barad’s work is in quantum physics but they have applied it to social sciences & other disciplines. It stands as a challenge to reflexive practice in social sciences. Super interesting!
I can see those differences as articulated by diffraction folks. I wonder though if some work done as TR is more akin to TD.
Also, got me thinking about the ‘eye of a needle’ being an aperture *ducks down another rabbit hole* 😂
Can we chat about TD/TR some how? Super interested!
I wonder how TD would look different to TR.
Interesting! Yes the stuff around onto-epistemology I think could have connection with relational participatory ontology. Great shout!
Yep. I’m interested in that. I’m not sure I think reflection is merely mimetic but I think I haven’t grasped diffraction as a critique correctly. I’m interested in Haraway’s voice around decentralising humans.
Again I’m still grasping so not sure I’ve understood it yet 😊
I’m newbie beginner in all this (also all the imposter bullshit!) Really keen to explore thinking though. My research is participatory arts based too so I’ve been looking at diffraction in art- which is amazing!
…. Sent me into thinking about theological reflection & what theological diffraction would look like.
I’ve just started my PhD and am looking at autoethnographic account of uni chaplaincy work; firstly looking at playing with some creative reflexivity tools, then co-creating some with students (looking at self-authorship of religious identity). Just stumbled on diffraction in reading.
Aarrgghhh! This is so good. I’d love to chat to you both!
No but that’s perfect- thank you!
Currently stuck on the idea of ‘diffraction’ in my PhD research. Wondering if anyone has any good signposts to theological thinking on this? I’ve seen Catherine Keller’s ‘Intercarnations’ but not much else. Interested in Barad’s thinking in conversation with theology.

Friends, this is where you are!
Was so good to see the studios!
Ruth and Jimmy, from Bournemouth University, talk on a student tv show in the university’s studio facilities.
@rw3lls.bsky.social here you are…
Beautiful
Tween looking as if he’s holding up the earth!
Great time at Bath Abbey today.
Also very appreciative of free kids activities which are well resourced and well run.

A place so beautiful and so broken and so in need of peace.
An empty beach scene with sunshine!
Oh yes! Sea swim & a flask of coffee 💕💕
Yep mine too. It’s heartbreaking & I hate that people are again canon fodder of bullshit vote-seeking.
Being hustled
Phew! I miss that
That sounds wonderful!
