this past weekend was the Austin Tx book trail (like a bar crawl but with indie bookstores)! It was my 3rd year on the trail and I think my favorite yet. Highlights include walking in one bookstore and the owner being so excited to see me that she accidentally screamed in another shoppers ear 😅🤣

I’ll be at ghibli fest in Houston not this weekend but next and let me tell you, I bought a new table and a second pegboard cause ya girls been BUSY and ugh I’m obsessed with the things I’ve made so far (lots not pictured lol)

I actually hope this one never sells cause I wanna keep it!!!!

I described a person to my therapist today by saying “her ducks are very much not in a row…she’s just got loose ducks everywhere”

And now I think I’m just gonna start muttering “loose ducks” under my breath instead of getting angry about it lol

In the audiobook I’m listening to right now I can hear when the reader is turning a page here and there and I’m kinda obsessed with that??

This was my “let’s see what this pattern is about” test square for the the queen size quilt top I just finished made up of 40ish blocks this size and 5 a bit bigger…and now I’m thinking the entire quilt may also need embroidery which may take a billion years 😮‍💨😅

I have plenty of books to read and I don’t really care about sports but the way people have been raving about Heated Rivalry has me tempted…

Today was fun lol

I love humans!!! A Tesla was doing something weird so the guy at the light in the car next to me and I both rolled down our windows and laughed at it together and went like “ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ “

And now that I have so many book sleeves, oh no! I must go to all the indie book stores in town and fill them all!!! (Hehe I love it 🥰🥰🥰)

How cool is it that my current struggle is that I want to shop small businesses but also know I could just make the thing myself!!! I’ve made 7 different book sleeves (so far) but that small business has a cute one and I just might get one anyways 🥰

There’s this church that I drive by occasionally with a giant chair outside that they paint for certain occasions. Usually it’s confusing or just strange but this was clever and made me chuckle

I got to nerd out at the textile museum but only took a handful of pictures so here’s 2 of them

Holy smokes Canada is pretty neat, 10/10 recommend. I wish I wasn’t already back in the U.S. cause 2 days wasn’t even close to long enough 🥲

While buying new pants today I realized there was a hole in the pants I was wearing…so I wore the pants I bought out of the store, got home, and repaired the pants I was originally wearing. Alls that to say prepping for being in an office 3 days next week is going well 😅

My friend had a baby so I made a them a baby quilt 🥰

Whoops haven’t been remembering to take pictures of things I make using the cone like I had wanted to but I’d guestimate 95% of these were stitched with THE CONE (including some hand stitching on the inside of my hat!)

I’ve got my first market since JUNE tomorrow and I am SO excited but also kinda nervous!? I have way too many hoops (280 according to my spreadsheet, the most I’ve ever had at one time) and I’ve got such a cute outfit planned that fits the theme and ahhh!!!!! I hope people show up and buy stuff! 😅

Highly recommend getting a pattern (from @beksstitches.bsky.social in general) (but also any pattern) and then totally free balling the color scheme and some of the stitches too if you just feel like it! It’s fun!
