Yes compared to CapCut it is a long way off but the good thing it is free and easy. All the features in CapCut - and quite a few paid - makes CapCut more difficult to teach.

I like that they offer stickers to cover the logo, but I still prefer the look of the DJI. For our journalists I might go with the Røde Mini though as they are so simple.
And no no internal recording.
