Lincoln Cathedral last week. The original built in the 11th Century was heavily damaged by an earthquake in 1185 and rebuilt in phases over the next 150 years. Viewed from a great distance or close up it is an extraordinary building. Lincoln also has other treasures, a lovely city!

He’s been deliberately vague but his many trips to the US and the previous targeting of Sunak by US healthcare shows the intent. Many GP surgeries are now US owned - a beachhead they will exploit with Farage in power. The NHS needs more funding - it’s underfunded compared with similar systems imho.

I am in the French system and have been since 2004. Farage is not proposing anything close to it because the state in France provides the infrastructure and you don’t have to ‘apply’ for a refund for most treatments. For many people it is more than 70% and some treatments are 100%.
If you think the NHS is wasteful wait until you see how inefficient and wasteful private healthcare is; anyone who’s experienced the profligate waste and chaos of US healthcare would see the NHS as great value.
Can we stop using the Farage euphemism ‘insurance model’ - it’s private healthcare which costs massively more than the NHS and has limited cover. The UK spends about 11% of gdp and the US 17% on healthcare and Americans die younger. Farage likes insurance because it’s another grifting opportunity.
