If this shit isn't stopped, we are going to reach a point in my lifetime where face-to-face conversation is the only way to know for sure that we are talking to another actual human being.

Eugenics types still prefer fewer of those—but see a benefit in cheap service labor. Right now the highest priority for them is more white people so that the nation doesn’t become minority white in 20 years.

We need to call this what it is: “positive eugenics” — and it’s certain girls.

Part of the grappling is asking yourself if you help those men stay in power and control, bankroll them, cover for them, play into their games of demonizing women who critique or try to expose them. If you help them reinvent and control more resources, you are part of the predator culture. Real talk

As we all (should) grapple with that online rape training:

Every man must be honest about where you fall here. Yeah, even you “progressive” ones who “just” try to seduce every woman on your staff, turn them against each other and/or make them sign NDAs if you’re the boss. You’re a sex predator too.

If you kill your wife, you don't get to be a husband anymore Some lessons from the media coverage of Dr. Cerina Fairfax and Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer's murders.

My latest.

I’ve been watching the media coverage of the murders of Dr. Cerina Fairfax and Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer.

One way media can fight back against male violence:

If you kill your wife, you don’t get to be called a “husband” any more.

You’re her killer.

True for any politician. But the horse race and obsession with power access in order to continue the horse-race game deeply infects journalism. 😵‍💫

Everyday people are left on the side of the racetrack. Pshaw!

You’re right. I worry about the cognitive part: critical thinking, reasoning, even logic—all of which is so important to good writing and every damn thing else. And the patience to do real, live person to person reporting, which is required for journalism to have real impact on everyday people.

Ethically, it must be. No real journalism outlet with ethics would publish stories generated by AI. At the least it must be disclosed to even hold onto a modicum of honesty and transparency.

AI makes people lazy. We’ve had local column submissions of AI slop. And they expect to be paid! Good Lord.

… to suggest not necessarily disclosing “just one paragraph” … it all gives me a headache.
