Still? Or new?
I can't find it now, but I thought I had seen something about work needing to be done on the lower section. (Perhaps it was a different section of the Canal though.)

The number of times I have mumbled "The bitch is back" in reference to Copilot is A LOT.
I've never actually been to Signal Hill, but watching a dog bank roll into Halifax Harbour from the Citadel is so freaking fun.
During the Tall Ships Festival one year, a decked out PIRATE ship burst through a receding fog bank. Highly recommend.
Eugh. I miss East Coast fog. Watching it roll over everything is so satisfying.
A Zamboni resurfaces the ice of a skating rink.
Two people skating on a rink. The photo is only their legs.
Saturday was incredibly beautiful and I do wish I had gotten out on my bike before it rained.
But instead I got to go skating on the rink at TD Place after the @pwhlcharge.bsky.social game.
I haven't skated on anything aside from the canal in YEARS meaning this ice was so incredibly dreamy. β€οΈβοΈ
two images of the human body's circulatory system. One of them with good cable management
The human circulatory system, before and after proper cable management.
Me, biking by on Friday:
"There are DUCKS who are SWIMMING in that underpass!?"
I like navigation better on Garmin vs Wahoo. (my previous Wahoo Elemnt was old and one colour though, so newer ones might be nicer.)
Adding routes to both was incredibly easy. (I use Ride w/GPS on a browser and then send to my head unit.)
My Wahoo didn't recalculate routes, but the 540 does.

I've got the 540 Solar. (I only got the solar version because I got a discount through work so it was cheaper than the other.)
Actual solar battery gain? Not too much, but not nothing. (~30 min gain over 2-3 hrs riding.)
I wear full finger gloves a lot so I didn't want to go touch screen.

Flooding on KZM MUP this morning. Along with several vehicles, and a tube running mulch across the pathway at Westboro Beach.
It has begun. And apparently the river hasn't hit its peak yet.
*whispers* omg
SK means Super Knobby.....

Is.... Is someone tapping their City of Ottawa Visa card to pay for their transit fare?
Jesus..... I just switched to them because their interest rates are better than what I had with Simplii.
This Gwen was so incredibly excited when that book came out. I love it so much.
And the character.
Gwen's will take over the world!
I very much enjoy your required punctuation so as to not autofill something else.
Ew? I hate it.
I still don't understand how it got such footing in Quebec.
Nothing quite like the sound of rain through an open window while in bed at night
This Bisexual thanks you.
Wood ducks are gorgeous. Top notch bird. Not sure if I've ever actually heard their noises.
There's a Merlin in the Glebe near Paterson Creek and I'm always surprised by the noises it makes.
I saw a pair of common mergansers and a trio of hooded mergansers on my bike ride last night.
I love them so much.
Oof. This applies for Ottawa as well.
Yes! Especiually those entry/mid range bikes.
The initial BB basically imploded after 5 years of good use, and I think the second BB was damaged due to some misalignment and a crank issue which then caused it to die real good.
Update:
I have convinced him to get a new bike because it'll be easier on me. (He knows I do a lot of bike maintenance so he's keen to lessen the load.)
I'm gonna take him to Escape Bike Tours to look at one of the Marins. I might also get the step through version to replace my commuter.
I think the problem with my husband's bike is that it was a cheap bike to begin with.
I've replaced the derailleur, BB has been replaced twice. The cassette is near toast, and the chain ring is nearing end of life too. Oh and the twist shifter is a problem.
Cheap bike does not equal longetivty.
This is very accurate. I love my bike(s) but also new bikes are so freaking nice!
My husband's bike (Canadian Tire, 2016, $250) is having more and more issues and I really don't want to deal with all the recurring maintenance needs.
Trying to convince him to get a new bike. He doesn't want to get a new one.
Who doesn't want a new bike?!
We'll never dress properly for the next couple weeks.
An "expensive" maintenance year on my bikes is often less than a season of car ownership based on what my friends pay.
