Alright ladies, I am once again seeking your help to find proper fitting PPE.

Looking for some chest waders that would fit a petite woman. Any suggestions?

If you put your plant in a much larger pot, your tomato plant will grow really well! I planted mine in a 25 gallon pot last year and it got 4-5 feet tall! It probably doesn’t need to be that big a pot though :)

* Tornado "season" is now all year round
* Tornado Alley is shifting to the northeast
* While the total number of tornadoes hasn't changed, multi-tornado outbreaks are more common.

Since the start of COVID, the number of people reporting a disability soared. Yet the majority of the world acts like COVID is over, and Long COVID doesn't exist.

I use the precipitation frequency server for Atlas 14 all the time for work! NOAA is currently updating precipitation values used for critical infrastructure design with Atlas 15 and modernizing PMPs for the whole country.

What that means: safer bridge and dam designs that protect the public!

Looks like tomorrow will bring votes on a Republican plan to fund tax cuts for the rich by slashing Medicaid.

So this is a great time to contact your Member of Congress.

An irony here is if you ask literally any Federal employee, they would have tons of immediately actionable ideas for how to make government more efficient.

Those ideas would not include blunt smashing of public services.

Congress could save Food for Peace by moving foreign aid from USAID to USDA U.S. Rep. Tracey Mann has proposed a bill to save Food for Peace, the foreign food aid program with a Kansas legacy, by moving it from USAID to USDA.

So much of the world is interconnected. Case in point: the closure of USAID and the Food for Peace program is having a direct impact on Kansas farmers whose sorghum and wheat help feed the world.

It’s hard not to think about the plane crash that killed the Wichita State football team in 1970 in a moment like.

An absolute tragedy and devastating loss, especially in Kansas.

Headwaters are less protected than rivers, but still play a huge role in the watershed. In our region, the loss of headwaters from development led to more flash flooding in cities. We started implementing stream setback ordinances to protect our local rivers and reduce the risk of flash flooding.

Modeling is more of an art than science. If you have two engineers develop a model of the same area, you are guaranteed to get two different results. So much of modeling is based on engineering judgement calls, which is why FEMA flood maps have such a rigorous development and review process.

The Rainway vs. the Atmospheric River | The Tyee An ‘engineered’ creek comes to life in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant during a record-breaking rainfall.

A Vancouver neighborhood has created a new way to mitigate flooding. Rainways are landscaped paths that mimic natural streams, with native plants to store rainwater and filter pollutants while providing other neighborhood benefits, such as improved aesthetics. #greeninfrastructure

Wow how inspiring! A mini engineered channel! Would be interested to hear how this facility is maintained and if they have to replace any plantings.
