Why do so many men think, “She made my wiener twitch! I must let her know that! I bet she’ll be so proud!”

We don’t want to know that from complete strangers. We usually don’t want to hear it from people we actually know. Keep it in your pants and in your brain.

I at least have reached the point where I know my self-esteem dips drastically in cycles and is therefore not a reliable measurement. 🫂 It took a loooong time to get here though.

One of my favorite things to do is rewrite an existing scene or chapter from scratch and then read both versions to see if I lost anything I actually want to put back. Usually the new version is a thrilling improvement that I feel couldn’t have been achieved just by editing the original.
