I think it was based on that one but I'm not in Indiana. The idea was great, though.

Calibre is magic. BookFusion is magic. The terrible kindle app? Not magic.

I didn't know that wasn't the norm until I was in my 20s. I'm also the type who is reading while getting dressed, eating, etc.

I should block them but instead I'm looking into where I can buy books that I can actually own. It's not so simple. Amazon isn't the only one with this kind of nonsense.

It was a little fiddly for me too, at first. Being old aka knowledge of DOS helped. The page should list that you need to install the launcher too and to run the install as admin.

Awesome! That must make the Congresspeople sleep better at night.

Reminds me of the protest I did a while ago when Congress expressed an interest in what happens with my menstruation. I emailed daily updates for a while since they seemed very concerned with my cycle. I wanted to put their minds at ease about how many supplies I used, etc.

Use Our Free Script to Easily Download All Your Kindle Books | Defragg In light of Amazon’s announcement to discontinue the “Download & Transfer via USB” feature on February 26, 2025, many Kindle users are seeking ways to

Amazon is disabling the "Download and transfer via USB" option on Feb 26 leading to the old "Do you own ebooks you buy" debate. I'm downloading my current kindle library for offline storage. This script help so you don't have to download each book individually.

I was doing that until I found this. Two hours a night. Ugh. Glad this came out.

Someone wrote a script to grab your entire library:

I think I can borrow most of these from my library’s online site so this is awesome! Thank you. I definitely am a “Read in Order” person. It annoys me when I realize I’ve started a series in the middle by accident. 🤣

I love my kindle/ereaders but there's something about a paper book. I miss wandering through a used book store to find a well loved book that I haven't read before. I miss library day as a kid. I miss the book fairs. Why don't we have adult book fairs that come to work? #BookSky

I think I have years ago. Didn't she write the Friday Harbor series? I should look and see what her other books are - I remember enjoying her work! Thanks!

Oh I love those.

I didn't know I wasn't supposed to put anything in the account "DO NOT USE OLD SALES ACCT!"

It's literally in the name, client. 🙄🤣

Every year I say I'm going to start a competition and give a prize to the client who starts the most new accounts that year. Then I stop myself because I know the prize I'd give out would be too bitchy.

A snip showing my reading time over the last 18 months

A snip showing my reading time over the last 18 months

My reading time over the last 18 months excluding anything read exclusively on Kindle. I prefer Bookfusion and move my books if I can. Some books (Kindle Unlimited) can't be moved. I don't know if I'm proud or ashamed of this-what could I have done with that time if I weren't reading? #BookSky

I always related most to Belle.

Thank you. Even if it were safe for women, I wouldn't return because it should be safe for everyone. We all matter in this. I learn from most everyone and hate the idea that we are limited in the voices we have here now.

Are you looking more for a forum type conversation or more twitter style? I miss the comradery of tax twitter but I also kind of judge the people who haven't made the move after knowing how uncomfortable a lot of the female tax twitter people were on twitter. It feels like we didn't matter enough.

Taking notes - I haven't read any of these authors. Thank you!

Book boyfriends are important. I skip movies if the book bf actor isn't right to me. Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher? As Lestat? No. Then again, I block people who still watch Woody Allen movies so...

Not as important as human rights but still up in there in the "Things that Matter" list. #Booksky

Wait, what? I went to school to learn all this and all I had to do was be born a 19-20 yo male? Why didn't anyone tell me this?

My eyes might roll out of my head with all they claim these kids know. Air traffic control is child's play for them too, I read.

It's really busy and stressful at work right now so I'm reading mostly light books. Anyone have some good mystery, romance, suspense, or fiction books to recommend? Kate Quinn, Tessa Dare, Beverly Jenkins, Harlan Coben, are authors I like but I'm looking for some new faces. #BookSky

I'm going chaotic evil but I'm also the one who has been singing "It's gonna be me" in my head for the last three hours so I'm not sure I'm a good judge.

I would say Musk is the guy who would cast fireball in a small room but all evidence is he has to pay people to cast for him so....

Oh I would try to do something if I had more power and I’m well aware some would call me evil. My job has had to implement major data security changes in the last 2 yrs. It’s infuriating we have to spend a fortune on security and the country just lets these yahoos run wild.

I agree they suck.

Brain rot but somehow stuck in my brain like **NSYNC lyrics. It’s sad.

I think they realize it but they don’t care. It’s about the power and control.

“We are slashing prices on all the evil! Come on down and get your evil! Complimentary batch of citizen data with purchase!”

I think the Unix commands trigger my old D&D brain so chaotic good just popped out.

I was blocked too. I feel so special. I think it’s my first block on here. Woo!

Oh we are living in the evil section 100%. But they want us to believe they are chaotic good.
