I always read your posts re decisions with interest. I'm a much safer kind of manager myself, but I get vicarious pleasure from that sort of play.

Great stuff - think it's fantastic the way you play tbh, and I'm glad it pays off!
GW33 - bench boost.
Gabs + Thiago -> Senesi + DCL (2/5)
Nope, seems good. Similar to me, doing Gabs -> Senesi and Thiago -> DCL. Agree it's scary selling Thiago with his fixture, but it's a dgw, so may as well go for it.
Is Pep feeling ok? (Giving straightforward answers.)
So, my wildcard ended up outscoring my original team (after planned transfers) by 1 point, which is a relief, because after Bowen's haul (I'd got him for Ekitike before I decided to w/c), I feared the worst. Just wish I hadn't done that mad late move for Sarr over Gross!
I own and started all of them... Would be interesting to see the next 10! (Bet my 11th starter isn't there.)
This was how I landed in the end.
This is amazing work! And good to see you back.
Absolutely - I flirted with the default of a Brighton mid for a while, but just couldn't quite feel it, and thus decided to punt on Sarr instead.
I think it was that psychological aspect of short term pain (this week) for long term gain. It made me think I wouldn't do it for a while, though I pretty much decided a couple of days ago.
I've maybe gone a bit off the rails, but switched Gross -> Sarr, and Senesi -> Struijk (to afford it). (I'll still get Senesi for Gabs next week.)
I've finally plucked up the courage to hit that button, and worsen my GW32 team!
5, which is the main reason I'm fairly likely to hit the button. Feels like I can maximise them that way.
That's a great article - thanks!
Thoughts on whether Gross may be on pens?
This will be exactly my team, including v/c and bench order if I hit the button...
All these Leeds defensive injuries are a little worrying, given the dependency on double Leeds defence on BB!
I guess maybe Cunha if you have the cash, but doesn't seem quite as inspiring really.
Yeah, it took me a little while to get there myself, but I think the above is all true. And the more FTs you have, the more WC32 is the way to go.
This is the sort of thing I'm thinking of too - seems a way to maybe take advantage of having extra FTs.
bsky.app/profile/jims...
I'm now tempted by something like this for GW32 WC. Then Gabriel -> Senesi and Thiago -> DCL with 2 of my 5 FTs in 33. I'd still then have 4 left over for later on. Anything else goes wrong, then Thiago's 33 fixture is actually fine for a BB.
I'd keep Gabriel, especially as you're likely to have more value tied up in him? If I did w/c, then I'd keep him for this week anyway, and swap him to a doublet next week, as I'd need to make a transfer. (Obviously might be forced into some other move too )
The one thing that tempts me with WC32 is the fact I have 5 frees if I do so. That seems to give an advantage coming into 35, when needing Arsenal players, etc. I'll be able to get them fairly simply. The big downside is this week.
If you have TC left then yes that does seem obvious.
I reserve the right to change my mind though! It's all very close, which is why it's a tough choice.
The BB's not gonna be that great, but I think I'm set on that strategy, barring unexpected injuries before deadline.
Yeah that's right.
It's probably going to have to be 36, by a process of elimination. Not that ideal, but not many other options.
Yes, when they said all the games would move to 33, I figured it was a certainty I'd wildcard.
