While the latest report from @jrf-uk.bsky.social forecasts child poverty will fall, there are still set to be 1 in 5 children in Scotland in poverty by 2030.
Scotland's children can't wait - they need action now. We want to see the Scottish Child Payment increased and more access to family support.

We were delighted to contribute to this blog piece where we shared progress on Family Group Decision Making here in Scotland and how we are working with partners to strengthen the law. We want to ensure children's voices are heard when life-changing decisions are being made about their future.

Amazing. The description sounds like half a dozen shampoos, lotions and potions in my collection. Except, I bet it does what is says on the tin!
Not just me then?
Cooking a roast dinner is much better than having one cooked for you, because you can eat pretty much a whole extra serving while you’re making it. For instance, I just “tested” three roast potatoes. Next I’m going to test a Yorkshire pudding.
Not just me then?

Ahead of the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee meeting tomorrow, our chief executive, @margl24.bsky.social and Dr Marsha Scott, CEO of Scottish Women’s Aid have written a joint letter to members ➡️ www.childrenfirst.org.uk/news/letter-...
We’re proud to support @ccpscotland.bsky.social #MoreThanWarmWords campaign, urging the Scottish Government to invest in the not-for-profit social care workforce and cover the costs of the NI rise. If it isn't reversed it will devastate charities at a time when they are needed more than ever.
Our chief executive, @margl24.bsky.social has commented on the latest CAMHS waiting list figures, which show thousands of children are in desperate need of support. Ahead of tomorrow’s budget we are calling for more early help and support to prevent children reaching crisis point. ow.ly/EXH950UjM9f
Charity sector employers surely can not be the intended target here?
Unless reversed the national increases for not-for-profit social care providers will have a crushing impact on charities at a time when they are needed more than ever. Tragically, it will directly impact our ability to keep babies, children and young people across Scotland safe.
We're grateful to @johnswinney.bsky.social for a frank & productive discussion ahead of the budget with our CEO @margl24.bsky.social about the need for more investment in whole family support to address child poverty & the transformative effect for children of good, community based support.
Our chief executive, @margl24.bsky.social, shares advice on how parents and carers can have open conversations with children about smart phone usage and staying safe online. We’re sharing this blog in support of Fearless Scotland’s campaign to raise awareness of sextortion. ow.ly/8AJK50UhAQR

#16DaysOfAction
Today we are calling for action to address Scotland’s child mental health crisis after our FOI revealed a ‘staggering’ 100 referrals a day, on average, are being made to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
