Came here to check that you saw this.

What's that?
You thought I was done with Mandalorian and Grogu coverage? Think again.
Here, I wrote down the magic of visiting the set as well as the treasure trove of recent Star Wars history right next door. It was quite the experience.
More Mandalorian and Grogu you say?
I asked Jon Favreau what it was about this story that made it fit for movie theaters rather than Disney+.
He basically said it was the opposite. They made a story to fit the big screen, not vice versa. Which is… a little scary!
So The Mandalorian and Grogu has Star Wars’ first opening credits, which is interesting.
But even *more* interesting is the order of those credits.
I think one name in particular might be a huge clue about the movie.
Pedro Pascal is first, but who is second?
It’s Jeremy Allen White. Read here:
I’m surrounded by assholes!
Just saw first footage from Spaceballs: The New One at CinemaCon and couldn’t be happier about it.
Friends know how all in Jayne and I were on UCLA bball this year. So to watch an icon like Thierry Henry speak about them in a totally different forum brought me so much joy.
Was at IMAX HQ recently and got star stuck when I saw they have the white board Ryan Coogler did to explain Sinners’ different formats behind glass and displayed on the wall. So cool.
Happy 10 year anniversary to the best junket photo of all time.
Okay but, how much of the talk will be about mineral water? Give the fans what they want!
Did you watch the new For All Mankind yet?
If you did, you know it was a big one, and I talked to the showrunners about, well, you know.
That.
Massive spoilers, obviously.
I was asked if I’d write a post about how to “fix or recapture the magic” of Star Wars. Here’s my answer: you can’t. It’s impossible. And I explain why www.thehardpass.net/how-to-fix-s...
I've been waiting for something, ANYTHING, from The Mandalorian and Grogu to excite me about the movie.
It shouldn't be hard. It's Star Wars.
But, up to now, that's the only thing it has going for it, and a recent video really hammered that home for me. I wrote about it.
Last month, I was lucky enough to visit Mars Mission Control, also known as the set of For All Mankind.
It's a magical place. So beautiful, so detailed. So, I wrote about it and why the showrunners feel it's such a crucial location in their overall story.
Today, the world's first and best pop culture art gallery announced it was closing. And no, it's not an April Fool's joke.
Gallery 1988 has been a trendsetter for decades, but now, it's going away. Below, I go on a personal journey about what the gallery has meant to me and pop culture at large.
I did not like The #SuperMarioGalaxy movie.
I know these movies are for kids, but other animation houses somehow find a way to make kids' movies that adults can enjoy too. This isn't that.
It's just stuff. Lots of stuff. Stuff on top of stuff.
A rare occurrence to get Bolton and Danforth together in one photo… with one of us.
What's that? You thought I was done with For All Mankind coverage? Not even close.
Here, I spoke with the showrunners about how season 5 was crafted as a purposeful, transitional season, which was obvious even before season 6 was announced. No spoilers.
Ahead of For All Mankind season 5 this week, a new teaser for its spinoff, #StarCity, is out. And if you're wondering how, specifically, this show is different from that one. I've got you covered
I talked to the showrunners yesterday & learned some great new info about its structure & more.
The best show you aren't watching returns for its fifth season this week.
It's #ForAllMankind on @AppleTV, and this season is about the next generation, Mars independence, and traveling further into the galaxy.
Of course, it's great, especially as it moves along.
Here's my spoiler-free review:
Just finished #DaredevilBornAgain season 2 in the lead up to its debut.
I was on the fence about it for a while. It was fine. Solid, not super.
But the final three episodes really ramp up, ending in an all-time finale that makes up for the whole season. Just excellent stuff.
More than almost anything of late, my wife and I have been locked in on the UCLA Women's Basketball team all season
There are a ton of reasons for it, and this article gets to the heart of a lot of them.
Great prep for their upcoming March Madness run.
Do you remember the first movie you saw on opening night? A film that was so important to you that you told your parents you just HAD to see it IMMEDIATELY?
Well, I do. I was 11 years old, and it was If Looks Could Kill, starring Richard Grieco, which turns 35 this week.

20 years ago today, V for Vendetta was released in theaters. I was there, and it instantly became one of my favorite films.
Recently, I was lucky enough to dive deep into it and its legacy with director James McTeigue.
And yes, I asked about that Wachowski rumor and much, much more.
When we realized Jeremy Allen White's Star Wars character is the son of Jabba the Hutt, I had a distressing question:
Did Jabba fuck? And, if so, how?
@io9.com's very own @jwhitbrook.bsky.social has the complicated answer.
My report from the Dune: Part Three trailer event, where Denis Villeneuve talked about all the ways this Dune is "dune" things differently: New genre, new tone, new look, new sound, and more.
He didn't put it THAT way, exactly, but you get the idea.
Got to see the Dune: Part Three trailer in IMAX this afternoon.
Didn’t think Denis Villeneuve could make something more epic. I was wrong.
Drops at 1pm EST Tuesday.
For now, check out these character posters.
But, also, how could I not?
