Rep Schrier (D, Washington) is drilling RFK Jr. about the “RFK Spillover Effect”. She asks him to say for the record that parents should give their newborns the vitamin K shot.
He refuses to do so, putting millions of newborns at risk for brain bleeds and brain damage.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren asks Trump Fed pick Kevin Warsh if he has investments tied to the Trump family. He won't answer directly.
Sen. Warren calls out Trump for trying to tear down the Fed's independence — claiming he's doing so because "he wants the Fed to use monetary policies to artificially juice the economy in the short term" before the midterms.
She says Fed pick Kevin Warsh "is uniquely ill-suited for the job."
WARREN: That's not my question. Are you refusing to tell us if you have investments in vehicles set up by Jeffrey Epstein?
KEVIN WARSH: Those assets will be sold if I'm confirmed
Warsh may be a reasonable guy and capable economist just playing a role here. But if integrity and independence are qualities we value in a Fed Chief, he does not have them.
Every nominee who dodges this question tells us that they have no meaningful commitment to American democracy.
