STL8 workers went on strike in 2022 for higher pay, safer work, and a union. They won five federal safety citations, forcing management to act.
Now, they officially won a federal ruling protecting their right to strike!
One more way data centers make life miserable for their neighbors: a new study shows they can create "heat islands" that raise nearby surface temps by up to 16 degrees.
The effect extends 6+ miles from the data centers themselves.
