If you've watched Balls Up and you need to talk... I'm here for you.

The story behind that cobbled 3rd act feels like a rejected Entourage episode.
I am hyped for this.
Yep. At one point Harrison Ford was attached to play Calico Jack, and the other combos were Sharon Stone and Laura Dern over Davis and Pfeiffer. The source novel from the 60s by John Corlova is pretty good.
This is a sitcom. You've struck gold.
Behold your third act of Top Gun 3.
Yeah, it's such a confidently old school and solidly executed show.
I feel your pain. Over the past few years, I've seen three people approach and treat a baguette stand (full of baguettes) as a click and collect parcel delivery machine.
I can believe it, but at the same time, it feels strange. I saw ESB (my first Star Wars film) as a little kid in '95 or '96 when it was on TV. Instantly loved it. And walking into Toys R Us, the place had one side of an entire aisle filled with merch. Guess Lucas kept the toys going.
Ten years ago you could get a very good sound mix on a short film for under £1K. Now the quote is £4.5K. For a 10min short.
When it comes to medical stuff, same. Wasn't ready for what they can do with HBO freedom.
My issue with the 8-10 ep shows is that the vast majority are serialised and they feel like they don't have enough story to cover the season. I've always felt that most of these shows could drop an ep or two and feel a lot stronger for it. Or simply include more standalone eps within the show.
Lack of money. I think if UK networks and companies could have done 13-22 eps, they would have.
I really enjoyed it. But I did keep expecting another twist or two.
April Fool's joke apparently. They put out another statement.
Suits proved to be a massive hit for Netflix yet they won't replicate the model even though the data would show that audiences will happily binge 16 ep seasons.
I agree but also we'd be spared the ep about Jack's ink.
If you're like me and you have a LOST shaped hole in your life, the first 2 seasons of Paradise will fill it. It's a brilliant show.
By Friday evening, The Pitt had appeared. Better late than never. I'm 4 eps deep and it's true, it really is that good.
Also available to watch in the UK -- DUSTER, the JJ Abrams & @morganicink.bsky.social 70s set 8 ep crime drama led by the charisma force that is Josh Holloway.
For those that may have missed it.
Producer @ricservini.bsky.social is looking for action, horror, thriller or fantasy scripts that could be made for £1.5m ($2m).
Can be set and/or shot in the US, UK or Europe. He's happy to read first drafts but they can't have a director attached.
Send him a logline to "wearemothlight@gmail.com"
So today HBO Max is included in my Sky package. And it's all there. Tons of shows and films. Everything except their launch title... The Pitt.
Maybe Taylor was a big Everwood fan back in the day when he wasn't guesting on Star Trek Enterprise?
Been watching it for the first time here in the UK. Very near to the end of S3. Certainly feels like Berlanti was inspired by Northern Exposure and Doc Hollywood. Perhaps Taylor was too?
Did not expect Michaela Coel to be writing and directing a remake of Bloodsport for A24. That's some Greta Gerwig making Barbie level of I need to watch that film.
If Sinners came out in the 90s there would be an SNES and Genesis game that would be made by totally different developers. The Genesis version youd play as Smoke and you’d have a gun and in the SNES version you play as Preacherboy and you fight vampires with your guitar
I'd take reading the script which is apparently floating around.
As someone who loves Babylon, I'm mad that this never got made.
Believe me, they're still about.
I've known a couple of actors getting dropped by their agencies as soon as they have kids.
