They then had the audacity to say I still owed them late fees for THEIR mistake. When my husband got on the phone and told them to come get the car a we'll get a lawyer they changed their tune. He agreed to pay the loan off (3k) so we didn't have to deal with them anymore.
20 yrs ago, after I moved out of state, my car payments to the CU wouldn't be processed until I called to nag (I had proof they signed for it.) Once, they threatened to repo my car; I had to send copies of cleared checks w/loan # on the memo line for them to realize they deposited them in my savings
