Lawyers against Transphobia felt less like a lawyers conference and more a liberatory justice conference. It was about community coming together and building connections, resilience, and commitment to the fights ongoing and still to come.

I'm off to Vancouver for the Lawyers against Transphobia conference. In this time of rising hate we must come together to build relationships and work in solidarity in legal and political fights for our human rights.

Last week with @momentumcanada.net, Dignity Network, Fierte Canada Pride, the Canadian Pride Caucus and other #2SLGBTQIA orgs had a queer back to parliament reception.

Speaking in the Senate building was a beautiful and wild experience.

They know the laws violate the constitution which is why they are going this route. It is simply hateful nonsense to rile their base.

Over the last week Pride at Work Canada and the Enchenté Network brought a delegation to Ottawa to support the modernization of the Employment Equity Act which would include adding #2SLGBTQIA+ and Black communities as designated groups. We met with politicians across all political parties.

Meeting Brooke Lynn Heights at the CGLCC Summit last week was iconic!

I closed the Toronto Stock Exchanged with my amazing team and supporters on Wednesday for Pride. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Although some companies are abandoning 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, but others are still doing the work. Companies aren't our saviors, but they are made of people. It is people who make a difference.

Winnipeg ProPride was fantastic. Thank you to Artemyst of the Bannock Babes (and Manitoba Entertainer of the Year) who stepped up to host last minute.

Mother's Day with this wee one and the fam was lovely 🌸✨️

SPARK was an incredible experience we brought international advocates from Workplace Pride, Human Rights Campaign, and ADIL Mexico.

Companies must stand up for queer and trans human rights internationally.

The only royalty I follow is drag royalty.

Queens of Dim Sum was so fun. Yes I was blushing from ear to ear.

Now it is up to progressives to hold @mark-carney.bsky.social's feet to the fire. We may have voted but that isn't enough to keep politicians accountable.

Canada rejected Pierre Poilievre's hateful vision for Canada so much so he lost his seat.

Now the Conservatives have some souls searching to do. Do they want to be a party of hate or one that rejects division and stands up for Canadian values of human rights.

I see that you voted and have therefore become even more irresitably attractive.

I have also voted just now and have also become irresistably attractive.

People should vote, mostly because it is necessary and right but also because it will make them irresistably attractive too.

Go Vote like your rights are on the line! Because they are!
