The forecast for the week doesn’t look too bad except for the unseasonably cold temps!! What’s the cause of that, Jim?

The circle of death is:

Cut faculty (or non-replace) so you offer fewer classes so fewer people enroll so you cut faculty so you offer fewer classes so fewer people enroll so then the market has spoken.

I think it may be a first, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Trump is the first President of the United States who is mentally ill.

US Senator points out the absolute insanity of spending 2 billion dollars a day to reopen the Strait of Hormuz when it was already open before Trump started the war.

A dozen years ago my departing flight from Newark had a near take-off collision with a landing flight… I assume that it was an ATC error. I closed my eyes and braced for impact that by shear luck we barely escaped. When today happens I realize how lucky I was.

Maybe condemn the reckless sad excuse of an American president for starting this madness without any idea what would happen after it started…zero plan.

My flight from Newark to Halifax had a near collision a few years ago as our plane was taking off on the same runway another 747 was landing on. I expect this happens more often that we hear about.

Putting the fiscal cost of the Iran war in context. $200 billion > $194.9 billion, which means that Trump is planning on spending more on the Iran war than he took in with his tariffs which raised tons of revenue. I wasn't sure this could be right, so I drew a graph, and it is.

To chop spending, Ottawa will cut science, tourism, foreign aid programs - National | Globalnews.ca While 40 departments will collectively spend $23 billion more next year, another 85 departments will spend $31 billion less in 2026-27.

I think we all sorta knew that the MAGA-Trump-DOGE thing was racism and such, but then Nova Scotia did the same budget slashing thing and now the Carney Liberals, so it's pretty clear the rich and powerful are just looting every damn thing because they can and fuck you.
