You can get these tapered points (sort of) with mechanical pencil- primarily you're 'swoop!'-ing off the paper for this look. Feels dangerous, but have fun with it!

Highschool chemistry class we were warned never to wear the cheap uniform sprayjackets in the lab because the material would catch fire and melt at the same time, fusing it and adhering it to our flesh and burning us inches deep while we howled fumes into our lungs.

Weird thought, if the field of illustration really doesn't matter to you, (certainly not enough to pay an illustrator)- maybe just use photos? They look professional, and it's even quicker than generation- AND won't leave characters with different numbers of fingers or wrong-length arms!

I hear you, and I do understand the reasoning- it FEELS like the convenience of clipart.
But you would know that presentation matters. Like I said, the analogy is to comic sans typeface etc. Besides other concerns around ethics, IP ownership etc. It looks *broadly* incompetent.
