Texas Rangers and health officials investigate Camp Mystic Camp Mystic filed to renew its license in March. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has repeatedly urged state officials to reject the application.

I would love to believe that this same vigorous investigation would be happening if this were a camp for Muslim girls or Black and brown girls instead of daughters of rich white Republican donors, but I cannot. In Texas, some children matter more than others.
