This isn't even a case of me not liking it in hindsight, because we found out how terrible John K was. It ALWAYS made me uncomfortable. John K's animation style is just painful to look at.

Great song, but the video is genuinely awful. I never liked it. I hate John K and his ugly ass animation style. His sick and perverted view of women bleeds strongly into how he draws them, and it makes it unpleasant to watch. A total stain on Weird Al's videography.

Indie animators are KICKING THEIR ASSES in terms of art style. They can be excused for taking shortcuts, but they AREN'T! They're ACTUALLY TRYING to make unique visual stuff.

Major studios have NO EXCUSE.

It's not indie animation. Why are we excusing shortcuts for shit they able to do 20 years ago. If they could animate in UPA revival, pseudo-anime, Klasky-Csupo, 2000s Disney, etc styles back then, THEY CAN STILL DO IT! THEY HAVE HUGE TEAMS!

It genuinely pisses me off when people excuse the use of beanmouth for everything with "it's easier to animate". LAZY! MAJOR STUDIOS SHOULDN'T TAKE SHORTCUTS AT THE EXPENSE OF UNIQUE DESIGN!

Art style is non-negotiable for me. If a company offered to animate my cartoon, but they wanted to make it beanmouth instead of UPA revival, because it's "easier to animate", I'd tell them to fuck off, and then I'd replace them with Fruit by the Foot.
