Even colder tonight but we had fire, blankets, & camaraderie. And the colder it is the more essential it is to be out there giving coats, rides, snacks, phone calls, and a place by the fire to people just released from jail.

They try to do 1-2 shifts outside the jail every day, and welcome volunteers. There’s very little barrier to getting involved in this work.

I've volunteered with CCJS in the past, and it's always felt like a small ask of the volunteers for a big impact on folks getting released from jail.
