Examples of Multisensory Scaffolding for Multilingual Learners: Visual experiences such as images, anchor charts, graphic organizers, and videos build language in meaningful context and support content learning. Auditory experiences such as songs, rhymes, chants, and recorded text enhance listening skills, pronunciation, fluency, and understanding of language patterns. Tactile experiences such as base-ten blocks, 3D models, science experiments, and time capsule creation provide discovery learning to promote critical thinking, curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Kinesthetic experiences such as historic event reenactments, mock trials, gallery walks, Total Physical Response (TPR), and scavenger hunts strengthen engagement and authentic language use promoting communication and collaboration in real-world contexts.
Multisensory scaffolds help #multilinguallearners access grade-level curriculum while they're still developing English fluency, using students' senses to make learning more engaging and accessible.

Been reflecting on @ahonigsfeld.bsky.social’s thought in our @theedcollab.bsky.social think tank last week: “in my view, the work does not stop. We keeping going. We keeping doing what matters.”
I so appreciate that boost. Now is not the time to dim our light or give up. We need to keep pushing.
