Yellow Roses

Interestingly, my song, Yellow Roses, has taken off on Spotify. Written about the death of someone very close to me, I struggled to write music to fit the weight of the lyrics. I settled on a quasi-reggae, Caribbean approach, hoping the song would be more of a celebration than a dirge.

I read the article as I put another vinyl record on my new Audio Technics turntable.

Spending Saturday finishing the guitar for the last track on my new album by stacking tracks of feedback to orchestrate the outro.

Yeah, I get that. I do the same kinda thing with Spotify; if I like something I hear, I'll go buy the physical album or CD.

I am fine paying for a physical copy of an artistic work, as opposed to the privilege of choosing from a selection of options I am willing to settle for, simply because it's convenient.
